ABSOLUT

More than 400 years of tradition.
The first bottle of ABSOLUT vodka was exported from Sweden to the US in 1979. Since then, ABSOLUT has achieved significant worldwide sales growth – from 10,000 nine-litre cases (90,000 litres to 7.5 million nine-litre cases in 2002 (67.3 millions of litres). Today, ABSOLUT is the world’s third largest international premium spirit and is available in 125 markets.

More than 400 years of tradition stands behind every bottle of ABSOLUT. To ensure superb quality, every drop of ABSOLUT comes from one source- Åhus in southern Sweden. From the hardy winter wheat that grows in the region, to water from the company’s own deep well, Åhus provides the distillery with the raw materials to produce the millions of bottles of ABSOLUT sold around the world.

The smooth taste and aroma of ABSOLUT VODKA makes it great neat, on the rocks or as a base for drinks and cocktails. ABSOLUT currently comprises the following products within the same quality framework: ABSOLUT VODKA, introduced in 1979; ABSOLUT PEPPAR (1986); ABSOLUT CITRON (1988); ABSOLUT KURANT (1992); ABSOLUT MANDRIN (1999); ABSOLUT VANILIA (2003). The ABSOLUT flavours are made by blending the vodka with only natural flavours. No sugar is added.

ABSOLUT VODKA has a rich flavour, is smooth and mellow with a distinct character of grain. Introduced in 1979.

ABSOLUT PEPPAR is aromatic, complex and spicy. The pepper flavour is a combination of the spicy components in the capsicum pepper family and the fresh green jalapeño pepper. Introduced in 1986.

ABSOLUT CITRON is made from citrus fruits. Lemon is dominant, but other citrus flavours are added for a fuller flavour. ABSOLUT CITRON has the distinct character of lemon and lime, with a hint of sweetness. Introduced in 1988.

ABSOLUT KURANT is made from black currant, a distant cousin of the grape. ABSOLUT KURANT has the distinctive character of black currant, with a hint of tartness and sweetness. Introduced in 1992.

ABSOLUT MANDRIN is made from citrus fruits. Mandarin and orange are dominant, but other citrus flavours are added to give a fuller flavour. ABSOLUT MANDRIN has the distinctive character of mandarin and orange, with a hint of sweetness.
Introduced in 1999.

ABSOLUT VANILIA is made from natural vanilla. To reflect the full potential of the vanilla flavour, all parts of the pod are used. ABSOLUT VANILIA has the rich, robust and complex taste of vanilla, with notes of butterscotch and hints of dark chocolate. Introduced in 2003.
